What We Do:
Our workshops integrate a range of activities including music, yoga, art, movement, improvisation, nutrition education and group work to help girls connect with and grow their P.O.W.E.R. We apply our core values (P.O.W.E.R.) to identified areas that pose unique challenges to the young women of today. Our curriculum varies dependent on workshop length and focus. Topics may include body image, social media literacy, self-care, bullying, nutrition, intuitive eating, confident communication, emotion education, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.
Teen & Tween Workshops:
Growing Girl P.O.W.E.R. runs workshops of varying lengths for teens (14 to 18-year-olds) and tweens (10 to 13-year-olds) throughout the Metrowest Boston area. If you are interested in receiving information on upcoming programs, please submit your email with the age and town of the prospective attendee.
Growing Girl P.O.W.E.R. is available for consulting with area schools to build programs for their female student population. We welcome the opportunity to meet with staff to collaborate on curriculum that best fits the school’s needs.
Growing Girl P.O.W.E.R. is available for workshops with female athletic teams to develop a healthy culture that embraces team building through our P.O.W.E.R. curriculum. We are happy to meet with coaches and instructors to focus our work on the needs of their activity and team. This can be built with the coach or school/organization depending on what needs arise within the community.
Parent Group Sessions:
Growing Girl P.O.W.E.R. values the work that parents do with their girls every day. We hope to enhance parents’ knowledge about the challenges girls face in this world and provide education on how to foster the growth and development of P.O.W.E.R.ful girls in your home.
Training & Consulting:
We welcome the opportunity to train and consult with health care providers, teachers, guidance counselors, and group leaders who work with teen and tween girls. If you feel your group could benefit from training on aspects of our curriculum or consulting regarding the girl population you work with, please contact us with inquiries.
